If your Norcold refrigerator has stopped cooling and you hear a gurgling sound when you apply heat, it is likely because the refrigerator’s cooling solution has vaporized and caused a leak in the refrigeration system. If you see yellow residue behind the refrigerator and/or smell ammonia, you need to replace the refrigeration cooling unit immediately.
Before you can replace the refrigerator’s refrigeration cooling unit, you need to shut off 120VAC at the shore power connection and disconnect 12VDC from the battery bank (or remove the battery fuse that supplies 12VDC to the refrigerator).
