Sea of Thieves recently updated Smuggler’s Fortune to allow players to add pets to their ships. Pets can be purchased from the Pirate Emporium for Ancient Coins and will each have their own distinct personality.

Rare has not only added pets to the game, but they’ve also included a permanent Gold Hoarder voyage as part of an upcoming content patch.

Dogs

If you’re a big fan of Sea of Thieves, then you may be pleased to hear that Rare has announced it will add dogs to the game in the future. Previously, British developer only provided monkeys and cats as pet options for its pirate players to take home.

Ancient Coins can be acquired from the Pirate Emporium to purchase new pets. This same system also enables gamers to purchase premium ship cosmetics and cross-over liveries from other Xbox titles.

However, dogs are more expensive than other pets available from the Pirate Emporium; you must save up some coins for your very own pirate pup. Not only is playing with dogs fun, but they also react to most other emotes in game such as sleeping, dancing and cheering!

As with other pets in Sea of Thieves, you should exercise caution when selecting your new friend because there are various breeds of dogs to choose from. Popular options include collies, Australian shepherds and huskies.

Cats

Rare has announced an update for Sea of Thieves that will introduce three new pets – Wildcat, Ragamuffin, and Mau. With these updates come exciting new capabilities for players!

You can dress your cat in a variety of outfits that can be purchased from the Pirate Emporium with Ancient Coins. As long as you meet certain requirements for unlocking each outfit, they will remain unlocked!

The Tabby Mau is an enchanting feline with vibrant orange fur and green eyes. This pet has become immensely popular amongst gamers due to its stunning aesthetic appeal.

Another popular cat is the Twilight Mau, featuring dark fur and blue eyes that symbolize this time of day. It’s a very attractive cat that many players would want to have aboard their ship at all times.

For those seeking something more classic, the Order of Souls Possessed Mau is an excellent option. It appears to have been pieced together and its vibrant colors make it impossible not to notice.

Sea of Thieves features some unique cat breeds, such as the Ashen Curse Ragamuffin. This cat’s fiery fur resembles that of the Ashen Curse – one of the curses pirates can acquire.

Finally, there is the Claycoat Wildcat, an intriguing cat that looks as if it has been dug from the earth. It has a patchwork coat of orange and brown with green eyes that speak to pirates’ desires for treasures from beneath the earth. Best of all? This cat goes well with most outfits so if you need something basic but still has that adventurous spirit then this cat could easily become your pet!

Mermaids

Pets have been a long-awaited feature in Sea of Thieves, and it appears we may finally get our own little crew members! Today, Rare announced that pets will be available as part of this month’s Smuggler’s Fortune update.

Pets come in all shapes and sizes, yet all share similar abilities: Pigs help dig up treasure, Monkeys grab bananas for you, Dogs fight skeletons. Each animal also comes with an array of outfits so that there’s sure to be something that suits your style perfectly.

Sea of Thieves offers players the chance to acquire pets, though they won’t appear automatically – you must first pay Ancient Coins at the Pirate Emporium to unlock them. They may also become available during special events like the upcoming Ashen Winds content patch.

At present, there are six distinct types of mermaids to choose from, each with its own special abilities:

Pirates don’t necessarily view sea dragons as friends, but they certainly aren’t enemies either. Pirates may summon them from the depths to help navigate dangerous waters, but they could also get in your way while fishing.

There’s even The Sunken Curse, an event that challenges players with hunting down several diabolically-looking mermaid statues in the shallows. These creatures erupt ancient magic and glow red; teamwork will be necessary in order to eliminate them all.

Admiral Pet Outfits

The latest update to the beloved open world pirate saga, Sea of Thieves, offers some major improvements. Notable changes include shiny new helms and an array of other goodies like weapons, a revamped gear system with the introduction of the talisman tier, pets and their descendants, an updated map, as well as plenty of content to ogle at. Definitely essential for any Sea of Thieves player looking to maximize their experience in its latest iteration is this talisman tier along with its associated buffs!

Wild Rose Pet Outfits

If you’re a fan of Rare’s Sea of Thieves, chances are good that you’re searching for a new pet. The game offers various animal companions to choose from and players can customize them with various skins and outfits. Each requires an amount of ancient coins to purchase which adds up quickly. Whether it’s an exotic parrot or mischievous monkey you’re after, Rare recently opened their Pirate Emporium which offers some excellent options.

Smuggler’s Fortune, the latest update, introduces a collection of pirate pets that can be purchased with Ancient Coins from the Pirate Emporium. Each pet features its own exclusive Wild Rose Pet Outfit that matches their species perfectly.
